A magical setting with fantastic historical connections, the town of Ruthin really is the “Jewel in the Vale” of Clwyd.

Now it has a top class Medieval Festival to be staged on a unique bi-annual basis, centred around the Castle, but involving other areas and aspects of the town, including the fascinating and unique Ruthin Town Gaol.

The Spring Ruthin Medieval Festival will concentrate entirely on the Medieval period, but may feature a different time frame within that period each year, to provide variety and add interest, while the Autumn Festival will include elements from other periods of  Ruthin’s history to add context and even more spectacle.

As well as deliberately setting out to try and extend Ruthin’s Tourist Season, these shows will be donating 10% of their profits to local charities. For 2008 we have chosen the Hope House Children’s Hospice as our beneficiary.

 

Admission: £10 Adults, Children 5—15 £5, under 4 Free
